Wipe Board

This was our other project for Parents Night for Kassie's preschool.
One of the other moms works at our local hardware store & cut up some of this wipe board for us.
I cut out the kids' names & a few shapes with my cricut. I used vinyl.
On the bottom, I sewed a cushion pillow & stuffed it. At the meeting the moms glued them on.

This is Rando. He didn't do anything. He sure is cute though.

Finished I Spy Bags

So here they are...Done! Please excuse the sloppy sewing. I made 12 for Kassie's preschool & a bunch more for my mom.

Tip: when sewing the vinyl window, I taped it on the wrong side of the fabric with masking tape, sewed it & then pulled the tape off. I thought it was pretty easy once I did that.

I ended up using Polly Pellets for the filling. I used about 2 cups.

With the leftover square from the window, I made a handle.

For the back, I used some printable fabric from WalMart (back in the craft section..with the iron-on paper).

I Spy Bags

I Spy Bags
I'm (attempting) to make some I spy bags for my mom's work and for next months activity during our Head Start Parent's Night. Here's what I've done.
they are going to end up being appx. 8"X 8"
I make two 81/2 X 8 1/2 squares. Then I cut out a 4 X 4 square from the center of one.
Then I made diagonal 1/4 inch slits in each corner of the square. I folded them outward and ironed them down.
Here's Kassie Dawn helping me out. She brings her little desk in and draws me pictures while I do my stuff. She asks me LOTS of questions and sings me songs. She is a very good helper.
This is as far as I've gotten. I ran out of materials. My mom sent me some stuff so I'll update the post when I get it.

Latest Bows

My sister-in-law Teresa & I had a bow-making night at her house a few weeks ago & I thought I would post our FABULOUS CREATIONS! We had fun & I think our stuff turned out pretty sweet!
I would love to get your comments on what you think of these.
These ones are the ones I made
On the gray & pink ones I put some satin pink spikes throughout them to give them a little more texture.
These are Teresa's. She made each of her girls a hair accessory for picture day.
(the top ones are brown & white/cream. I don't know why they're looking blue)
Here's Scooby, she used the "Hair Thingie's" to hold her messy bun piggies.
Kammers is wearing boutique bows in her messy bun piggies.
Finally, Bean Pie is sporting her Korker Bows.

These are some bows I made after I got home.
The top are brown korkers & I put in some thin cream colored ribbon to give it some contrast.
The red ones are for Stupid Falcon Friday (see any of my hair blog posts for Falcon Friday. I don't like it.) I threw in some spikes of a sheer sparkly white ribbon because Jackie's red shirt has lots of sparkles in it.
This is my Scrapbook Collection. I wanted to get creative and so I thought I would use some of my scrapbooking supplies.
The flowers are scrapbooking flowers with a brad in the middle & I used thin black ribbon for the backing.
Here is where I got Crazy. I didn't have the right color blue ribbon so I took white ribbon & rubbed one side of it with blue scrapbooking chalk. I turned out really cute & I thought it looked neat how one side was blue & the other was white. Also, the middle buttons are really little brads.
These are all layered scrapbooking flowers with a yellow button brad in the middle.

These are just 3 little flowers with an orange brad in the middle. These flowers didn't have the hole in the middle so I used my tiny hole puncher to make a small hole for the brads.

Fat Pants Bag

So...Fat girl here went on a diet a few months ago and I've lost about 20-25 lbs (depending on how piggie I'm being). I decided I needed to retire my FAT PANTS so this is what I did.
I found these directions on the simplicity site here and I went wild! (I made each of the kids one to use as their church/car bags. They put in paper, pens, books, candy to keep them entertained. They are truly the PERFECT size). I ordered the appliques off the internet (I know, I'm so creative).
This one is mine. I use it as my purse. I know, not that stylish but it really is good to have. I how wide it is. It seems like I can fit everything I need in it without it feeling enormous.

This one I made for the Randy Man to use as his diaper bag/ whatever else the little fart needs bag.

Couple Stitchery

This is a little stitchery I made for a craft open house at my cousin's.

The ones that I sold said:

Love doesn't make the world go round. Love is what makes the ride worth while.

True love stories nevert have endings.

The way to love anything is to realize it might be lost.

Everyone that bought one said they were giving them as wedding presents so I think I'm going to make some more to give for wedding gifts in the future.

I guess you could change the stick people to show what the couple is interested in. Most everyone around here are hicks (hence the cowboy, cowgirl).

Cricut Card

This one is actually looks a lot better in real life. The color didn't quite come out right in the picture. Anyways, I'm still having fun figuring out all the stuff my cricut can do.
